
Primary School
Founded in 1970 Founded in 1970 to amalgamate three small parish schools in the the Parish of Colwinston, Llandow and Llysworney, St David’s has evolved considerably. In 2021, a new 21st Century School was established to meet the growing demand for places. The school features state-of-the-art facilities and modern learning environments. Our grounds include both hard and soft play areas, an orchard and a designated conservation area.
The school offers a range of options to support families.
Breakfast Club
The breakfast club runs from 8.00am every morning. The last drop-off is at 8.20. There is a selection of cereals and toast on offer. There are a range of activities or the opportunity to play outside on the school yard. There is no charge for breakfast club.
Welcoming children from the surrounding areas, the pre-school is now based in St David's Primary School along with a wrap-around childcare service. There is also a Mother Toddlers group and Simply Out Of School after-school club in the Village Hall - find out more on village Facebook Group.
Colwinston Childcare
Children in the school's nursery have the opportunity to stay for a full day. This can either be paid for directly or funded through the Welsh Government child care offer. Places need to be booked through the school office.

After-school club
There is an after-school club which runs from Monday - Friday until 6.00pm. The Club is operated directly by Simply Out of School. See below.
Simply Out Of School Colwinston opened in January 2017. It is held in the school hall of St David’s Church In Wales Primary School. The club is operated directly by Simply Out of School Ltd.
